Market timming from 9.00AM to 5.00PM

Hi all,

I really wanted to get your feedbacks ont SEBI allowing the stock exchanges to change thier timmings from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM . Can you all share your ideas with us. Is this going to help the market or is it encouraging more intrday players. Long term investment would be only a word in dictonary. Please leave your comments.

Yes it will incrase day traders in the country for sure if it really happens but SEBI will need to make sure that necessary infrastructure required to support extended trading hours is available with exchanges and other participants , till such time it looks more of wish rather than a possibility

    Hi,
    Nice 2 c u here…Best of luck…
New market timing will help the large players such as FIIs, especially London based now they can manage their exposure in better way….

Small investors have nothing do with this….
Back office staff, investment bankers, trader have to face a lot……., however, in long run all of them become habitual of new timing…..

In initial stage, companies like mutual funds, broking house etc would see upward movement in cost…..

For a trader, brokers long hours means more business and more money…

Market turnover will increase which help the government to earn more tax…

    That it….

  3. Thanks a lot Manish for really good insight about London Base trader.

Rather than practicality, if the market timings are extended it will make trading more lackluster since as a market we are in a growing phase. Rather the market regulator has enough work to do to curb insider trading and ensure good infrastructure to retail traders too. Giving 2.5 hours extra for investor awareness will help the process in long-term.
